Why I Started Boon
Throughout my 25-year marketing career, I received cold emails and telemarketing calls from hundreds of vendors offering their services to help improve strategic and tactical marketing activities. Not once did I receive an offer for marketing auditing services.
I did work with numerous full-service B2B marketing agencies, which, as part of their initial on-boarding process, conducted a discovery process, which is similar to an audit. This one-time process was not the focus of the business, and mainly served to provide the initial direction of their engagement. It was limited in scope to areas that fit within the menu of the services they offered.
I went ahead and spoke to numerous colleagues in the marketing field and all agreed – there was a gap that I could fill, with a comprehensive and systematic approach to auditing B2B marketing departments.
